Original watercolor by artist Gene Gill of Portland, Oregon. Signed and numbered Giclee print on heavy watercolor stock. 21" X 27".
Tied along side the loading dock at the site of the old Englund Marine Supply on Astoria's working waterfront lies the dragger, Magie Kathleen. She shows us her port side, scarred from a long life of use and abuse. Patiently she waits while taking on much needed equipment and fishing supplies, yet she seems almost eager to be off again doing what she has spent a lifetime doing-hunting for fish. The color range of blues, ochers and reds yield an atmosphere of anticipation.
